Dear St. John’s:
I’m taking the liberty of forwarding to the whole community messages that DJ Gomer sent to the women and men of the church yesterday about the St. John’s Treasurers Exchange, which takes place next Saturday, Oct. 17 from 8 a.m.-noon in the Cardinal Gym. Thanks to Tracy Daly for the inspiration and leadership and DJ for the great communications.
Blessings in Christ, the Great Spring Cleaner.
Fr. John (wondering about those CDs he hasn’t listened to in years…!)

From DJ Gomer:
Just a quick reminder that we are about a week out from our St. John’s Treasures Exchange (Rummage Sale) and will begin collecting items this weekend, October 11, after the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. service. A Request, Please: If you have large pieces of furniture it would be very helpful if you could drop them off Friday night, October 16 from 4 – 7 p.m. or October 17, between 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. (the day of the event). Dropping large pieces of furniture this coming Sunday presents us with a major storage problem.
And as you walk your home and garage, thinking, “Does it stay, or does it go?”, please make sure donated items are in good working condition. Remember, these are our treasures that we have outgrown (both literally and figuratively), and we want to find them good homes. Need a few suggestions of what we are looking for? Art Supplies, Artwork, Bad Art in Great Frames, Bicycles, Board Games/Puzzles, Books, Brand-name Clothing, Purses, CDs, Christmas Trees, Holiday Attire, Holiday decorations, Maternity and infant clothing, records and record players, video games.
And sincere thanks to Tracy Daly, whose leadership is seeing this from beginning to end! Also, to all the volunteers that have contacted Tracy and me about volunteering – Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! We so very much appreciate it. The more hands on deck, the less work for all. And if you have not signed up to help, please know you can still do! Just write me at email@example.com, and we will plug you in. And we could use a few good men on Friday night, October 16 from 4-7 p.m. to help set up.
And if you cannot volunteer, please help us spread the word to family, friends, neighbors, your kid’s teachers, the lady at the dry cleaners, your hairdresser…and the list goes on, and on : )
Happy Treasure Hunting!
