It’s just another busy week at St. John’s!

— Please note that the Hummingbirds, our support group for women who have lost their mothers, meets this Thursday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the home of facilitator Kristine Williams, 45 Muirfield, Dove Canyon. RSVP to Kristine at kristine_williams@rocketmail.com so she can leave your name at the gate.

— Our annual beach cleanup, dinner, and sunset Holy Eucharist service is this Saturday, Nov. 7 starting at 2 p.m. at Doheny State Beach behind the main lifeguard tower. It’s a service-oriented, fun-filled, almost-like-summertime family event, so bring the kids (and a main dish for the picnic!). If you haven’t signed up yet, People’s Warden Gregg Stempson needs to know you’re coming by late tomorrow (Wednesday), so please drop him a line of RSVP at gstempson@yahoo.com.  He’ll send you all the details when you write.

— If you heard Mo. Martha talking in church on Sunday about Laundry Love Lake Forest, you know that it kicks off tomorrow evening (Wednesday, Nov. 4). If you want to volunteer or be on the mailing list, please write Mo. Martha at mjohns@stjohns-es.org.

And don’t forget Tuesday Tuneups tonight (Lectio Divina at 5:30 p.m. in the Bride’s Room, fellowship at Starbucks around 6:15, and the Bible Fellowship’s continuing study of John’s gospel at 7 p.m. in the Bishop’s Room), the Autumn’s Abundance fellowship dinner on Saturday, Nov. 14 (RSVP right now to djgomer@cox.net), and Pastor Lisa’s soul-feeding class on “The Soul” this Sunday, Nov. 8 at 9 a.m. in the Bishop’s Room.

In Christ,
Fr. John
