Dear People of St. John’s Church and School:

Greetings in the name of our Lord.

Earlier today during Fr. John’s last Sunday with us, we announced the name of our new vicar, the Rev. Christopher Potter, to the congregation. Fr. Christopher’s congregation was also informed of his new position this morning.

He is shown here on Wednesday evening with Bishop’s Committee members DJ Gomer, Joanne Bradshaw, and Eleanor Salvanera.

Fr. Christopher will begin service at St. John’s June 1, with his first Sunday services being June 4, Pentecost Sunday. Fr. Christopher has written a letter of introduction to the church and school community (click) which is linked here.

The Rev. Karen Maurer, Director of Beach Cities Interfaith Services and on staff at St. Wilfrid’s, Huntington Beach, will celebrate and preach the four Sundays in May.
