Class on Hinduism continues Sunday with our own Gerry Larson teaching on the third largest religion in the world. Join us during the 9 a.m. Christian Formation hour in the Bishop’s Room. The series will conclude with a third session Sunday, June 4 in the Multipurpose Room when Swami Dhyanayogananda, monk and director of the Ramakrishna Monastery in Trabuco Canyon, will speak about his own spiritual journey.

Elizabeth Adams will present a preview of Financial Peace University (FPU) after the 10 a.m. service in the Bishop’s Room. The nin-week course begins Thursday, June 15 at 6:30 p.m. This course will teach biblically-based strategies for budgeting, saving, and giving that will appeal to teens, college students, and those of an even older age! Questions? Email Elizabeth at elizabeth@compudynamix.com.

Sunday, June 4 will be an amazing and exciting day at St. John’s! We will officially welcome Fr. Christopher Potter on his first Sunday as Vicar of St. John’s. We will be joined at the 10 a.m. service by some of our Interfaith friends, and The Episcopal Chorale will make a return appearance as guest musicians alongside our very own and amazing choir! Following the 10 a.m. service we will hold a reception for all our guests and congregation in the Cardinal Café (the school lunch area behind the gym). St. John’s will provide the sandwiches. Please sign up in the Narthex to bring a salad or dessert. And plan to stay and fellowship with everyone!

Lay Eucharistic Minister training specifically for the 8 a.m. service will be held Sunday morning immediately following the service. Anyone interested in participating in the worship services in this way is invited to attend to find out what being a LEM all about.
