We’re Getting Social on Sunday, September 24!

On worldwide Social Media Sunday, September 24, parishes and people across the diocese and around the world will share online their experience of church. Why? Our hashtagged posts, tweets, photos, and more can help us connect with one another in our own community and farther afield. It’s an engaging way to “do” church online and to show the in-between times outside formal worship.

St. John’s will participate by encouraging everyone to “check in,” add a prayer, post a selfie or photo, or provide a reflection on the service. Please tag us on Facebook > @stjohnchrysostom.church, Twitter > @stjohns_rsm, or Instagram > @stjohns_rsm. Remember to use the Social Media Sunday hashtag: #SMS17!

You can participate as a parish or as an individual in ways that make sense for you. You don’t even have to join any new social networks! You could tweet your Sunday morning thoughts, check in at your church on Facebook, share a photo or video, or livestream part of the service!
