Two nurturing events on tap this weekend!
The FIRST is our Lenten Quiet Time, “Practice The Presence Of God”, Saturday, March 10, 2-5 p.m. Why come? It’s a focused opportunity to deepen your Lenten observance. Drop in anytime.
• You may do the self-guided meditation or a labyrinth walk anytime during the three hours;
• Optional yoga at 2 p.m.;
• Optional short prayer service and Lectio Divina scripture meditation at 3 p.m.
• Conclude your Quiet Time with Evening Eucharist at 5 p.m.

The SECOND event is the Festival Singers Concert, Sunday, March 11 at 3 p.m. at the Lake Forest Sun and Sail Club, 24752 Toledo Lane, Lake Forest. The concert, “What a Wonderful World: Music of People and Places”, celebrates the beauty of the physical world and the beautiful people who live in it. We’ll sing selections from Harold Arlen, Joseph Haydn, Moses Hogan, John Rutter, Robert and Richard Sherman, Randall Thompson, Frank Tischeli, and others. This is GREAT music to lead us from Lent to Easter! Tickets for St. John’s members are at a discounted price of $12 each and may be purchased at the door. See you there!
