St. John’s came in with a grand total of 181 Thanksgiving food bags!  Add the 60 bags collected by Community Lutheran and the Latter Day Saints, and our final tally is 241 bags of food for our neighbors in need. Thank you so very much for your generosity! Food drive organizer Roger Bradshaw says on the chance anyone has bags of food they still want to contribute, please do so by taking them to the church office Tuesday morning, November 19.

Although the food collection part of the food drive is over, there’s still ministry to do.

Food distribution day is Wednesday, November 20, and we could use one more blast of help to get the food into the hands and cars of our neighbors-in-need who will shop that day during the RSM Cares Food Pantry at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 30605 Avenida de Las Flores, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688 (next to the Lowes shopping center, near Rancho Santa Margarita Parkway).  Help out anytime between Noon and 5 p.m.  Questions? Please contact Roger Bradshaw, parisbradshaws@me.com or 949.505.4663.

Our own Pat Pearson pitched in as a Thanksgiving Food Drive model. You’ll see her at the Wednesday distribution.
