We have been blessed and reaped our fortunes on Saturday afternoon with the weather of the last two weeks. The first week we were warm, last week a bit cooler. However, there is alarming meteorological news about this Saturday, August 15, during the time of our scheduled outdoor in-person worship service.

The predicted weather for Saturday afternoon in Rancho Santa Margarita is 106 degrees! Since that high is predicted to hit at about 4 p.m., I imagine that the outside temperature at 5 p.m. will be yet above 100.

In the interest of both comfort and safety for those who would come on Saturday night, I am canceling our Saturday afternoon service this week.

Instead, please join us Saturday night on ZOOM for Evening Prayer at 8 p.m. For online safety and security reasons we don’t publish worship service links, but each week I send an email blast containing all service links. If you’re not receiving that email, let me know via cpotter@stjohns-es.org, and I’ll send you this week’s links, and add you to the email list.
