Middle School and High School/College Youth Groups are meeting regularly on Tuesday and Wednesday Zoom calls, and this week the topic was the from the learn portion of The Way of Love.

The Way of Love comes to us through The Episcopal Church and, as you know from St. John’s participation in its teachings, is more than a program or curriculum. It’s an intentional commitment to a set of practices. It’s a commitment to follow Jesus: Turn, Learn, Pray, Worship, Bless, Go, Rest.

Can your kids join Youth Group? Yes! Here’s the schedule:
• Middle School — grades six through eight — meets Tuesdays from 7 – 7:45 p.m.
• High School/College meets Wednesdays from 7 – 7:45 p.m.

The YG’s adult leaders are Mrs. Patti, Mr. and Mrs. Nichols, Mike Olivor, and Joe Miramontes. If you’re in middle or high school and want to join the Youth Group Zoom meetings for middle school or high school, shoot Mrs. Patti an email.

Next week the Youth Groups will join up on Wednesday, November 11 at 6 p.m. and meet at RSM’s Target to shop for the Thanksgiving Food Drive. The cost to provide a Thanksgiving meal for a family of five is about $30.

The 2020 goal is to provide 400 families with a Thanksgiving meal. Mrs. Patti said, “People need help in ways they haven’t in a long time. Anything you can contribute would be helpful. To the college students, since you can’t be with us, if you have an opportunity to do something to do for a food bank near you that would be a really nice thing to do.”

Youth Group ZOOM meetings resume Tuesday and Wednesday, November 17 and 18.
