Have you heard of an “Examen”? It’s something Mrs. Patti does with students in her classes. She asks students to state the things for which they are most and least grateful for that day.
That was the driver in last night’s Middle School Youth Group. It’s a great way to check in with members, learn what’s going on in their lives, and lets the kids know that YG leaders are invested in members’ lives.
Next week, Wednesday, October 6, Middle School Youth Group meets at 545 p.m. for game night downstairs on the Learning Commons patio. Bring your dinner; and plan to get picked up at 7 pm in the circle. Bring your school friends, best friends, neighbors — everyone is welcome, from any junior high school.
The High School and College group also met this week and shared loving-kindness experiences, then closed with evening prayer.
Youth Group meets on two nights each week:
- High School and College group meets Tuesdays via ZOOM at 7:30 p.m. College members are graduates of St. John’s Youth Group who continue to enjoy the fellowship. Awesome!
- Junior high — grades six through eight — meet Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. for 45 minutes via ZOOM. Next Wednesday, October 6 at 545 p.m., it’ll be an in-person game night at St. John’s, downstairs and outside on the Learning Commons patio. Bring your dinner; get picked up at 7 pm in the circle. Bring your school friends, best friends, neighbors — everyone is welcome, from any junior high school!
To join either group, or ask questions, get hold of Mrs. Patti. Youth Group members are reminded that adult leaders are just a text away if members need to talk.
