So, could you not stay awake with me one hour? Stay awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Jesus’ request to his disciples during his time in Gethsemane is an invitation to us in our lives today. Our Vigil is back in person this year! We can spend a quiet hour of reflection in the Chrysostom Chapel during the Prayer Vigil to deepen our relationship with him.
The Vigil begins Thursday, April 14 following the Maundy Thursday service, and continues through noon on Good Friday, April 15. You may sign up here. There are spots for multiple participants in each hour. Our goal is to have each hour covered. During the overnight hours, we would like to have more than one person, and preferably at least one male, during each hour. This is a very special time that is meaningful for all who participate. Instruction sheets and meditation resources will be provided. Join us and discover the blessing! Questions? Contact Linda Allport.
