St Johns Chrysostom Church, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA

Please join the St. Johns community in remembering the life of our beloved Gerry Larson who died Saturday, April 27. We, his family and his friends, will gather Saturday, May 18 at
1 p.m. at St. Johns for Eucharist and prayers to mark his passing, and to discover anew the promise of Resurrection for Gerry and for us.

Gerry was a professor of comparative religions in Indiana and in Santa Barbara, a noted author on Indian cultures and religious practice, and an ordained Presbyterian minister. St. John’s benefitted repeatedly from Gerry who presented us lectures and insights into a variety of religious experiences and with his dedication to the practice of Yoga.

Let us pray.
Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your
servant Gerry. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own flock, a sinner of your own redeeming. Receive him into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the
glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.

We meet this Saturday, May 11 at Trabuco Presbyterian Church, 31802 Las Amigas Drive, Trabuco Canyon. Tasks range from paper mâché to painting. All skills sets are welcome. Come any time between 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and support this very important work day! Yes, there will be donuts, coffee, and other nibblies — we take care of our volunteers! To sign up, contact Sheryll Grogan, sgrogan@stjohns-es.org.

Note: At the first 2019 set-build workshop on April 6, our own Joe Miramontes jig-sawed several African veldt critters, including a giraffe and a lion. Volunteers also used five-gallon buckets to create African drums. Whats in store for this Saturday? Grab some of your buddies and come and find out!Image attachmentImage attachment
