High School student Kelly Guethlein and her team of youth organizers — assisted by St. John’s staff, clergy, and youth and adult volunteers — organized an amazing drive-thru Trunk or Treat. Scores of cars filled with minions, super heroes, ghosts, princesses, and more cruised the church’s back parking lot and masked and gloved volunteers stepped to each car and spooned candy into plastic pumpkin heads and sacks. The kids were DELIGHTED, as were parent-drivers who said it felt good to be able to offer something almost normal for their kids to do during the pandemic and shut-down.
