About
I married my college sweetheart Cathy in 1970. We met in Freshman English at San Diego State College in 1966. We have 3 daughters and 10 grandchildren.
In 1970 I joined the Marine Corps and spent 10 years as a Radar Intercept Officer flying in the rear seat of the F4 Phantom. After separation from the Corp I felt a call to ministry. I received my MDiv from Talbot Theological Seminary and spent 6 years as an Associate Pastor.
I then spent time selling heat transfer equipment and participating in environmental investigations before finding my calling as a health care Chaplain. Following 1600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education I was hired by Kaiser Permanente. My original assignment was at their Anaheim Hospital. After 6 months I became their Hospice Chaplain for Orange County. It has been a continual blessing to support patients and families at the end life and to facilitate Bereavement Support Group for family members.
