About the Event
Thomas Aguinas said, "Theology is faith seeking understanding." For us, words help us understand and communicate meaning, as well as shape that meaning. The Anglican "Three Legged Stool" uses words in all three: Scripture, Tradition, and Reason. This series, led by Wayne Kempe, will invite us to think about our own theological language.
When we are in a significant relationship, we want to talk about that person. We use descriptive words -- characteristics, descriptions, images, and our personal experience. But how can we possibly talk about something beyond ourselves?
We will be exploring the language we use to describe something beyond description.
