About the Event

The Stations of the Cross is a practice that commemorates the Passion and death of Jesus Christ. It involves a series of 14 stations, each representing specific events from Jesus's last day on earth as per Christian tradition. Participants in the Stations of the Cross follow a path, stopping at each station to reflect on and pray about the specific event it represents.

This practice allows us to make a spiritual pilgrimage of prayer, meditating on the chief scenes of Christ's sufferings and death.

You have the opportunity to partake in this reflective journey independently, without a group or leader, at a specified time. During this period, from noon to 3:00 pm, you can visit each station at your own pace, contemplating the events of Jesus's crucifixion. This timeframe coincides with the traditional belief that Jesus hung on the cross from noon until his death at 3:00 pm, making these hours particularly significant for reflection.

Self-guided Stations of the Cross can provide a deeply personal and introspective experience, allowing individuals to engage with the story of Jesus's Passion according to your own rhythm and need for reflection. This practice serves as a powerful reminder of the suffering Jesus endured and the love he demonstrated through his sacrifice.
