St John’s Episcopal School begins another year this week. Our own Sheryll Grogan is the acting Head of School for this year, and we have several new staff members and faculty. We currently have just short of five hundred students enrolled and are excited to start classes.
This past week your church sponsored a lunch on Monday for the staff. Thank you to Rick Anderson, Scott Davidson, and Scotty King for helping Rebecca with setup. On Wednesday we hosted the back-to-school Summer Social for families. The church handed out water bottles in fulfillment of Christ’s call in Matthew 10:42.
Please pray for our administrators, faculty, and staff as this new school year begins.
Lord Jesus Christ, as a child, you increased in wisdom and stature, you listened to your teachers and asked them questions. Bless those who teach and those who learn. May our young people grow in mind, body, and spirit that they might pursue lives of service and purpose.
