Leaning towards Sunday, Sept 28

At our 10:00 service on Sunday, September 28, our preacher will be The Rev. Payton Hoegh, Program Director for The Center for Spirituality in Nature. As a fitting climax to our "Season of Creation" observance, we will include hymns and prayers that will help focus our theme. We also want to share with you the lyrics to this Sunday's communion anthem, "Now to your table spread." While it has many features of a typical communion song, I particularly like the last verse that says, "Here is our common wealth in sharing what is good." This fits nicely with the words from 1 Timothy 6:18: Those who are rich are to "be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share.
